Our Story

Meet Dr. Gelsy Calvo

Dr. Gelsy Calvo is known for the warm and friendly manner in which she treats her patients. Her goal is to apply her skills and dental knowledge in a caring and gentle way while listening to her patients’ concerns and helping them to the best of her ability. The well-being of her patients is her number-one priority

Dr. Calvo earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2010 from the University of Cienfuegos, Cuba. After moving to USA with her family, she decided to go back to dental school earning her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry with high honors from the prestigious University of Puerto Rico, School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Calvo places great importance on continuing education and ensures she is up to date with current treatment concepts and technology so she can refine her skills and provide optimum patient care. She participates in lectures and courses sponsored by the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Association, and the Illinois State Dental Society.

Dr. Calvo lives in Indiana with her fiancé, who is also a dentist. They have two big dogs, a golden retriever named Oliva and a golden doodle named Zeus. In her spare time, Dr. Calvo enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and going on walks with her dogs.
